2017 Top 10 Right Now - Relief Pitchers

Hey, it's another baseball season.  My 40th, as a matter of fact.  The first season I remember from the beginning was '78; I was 7.  For most of those seasons I've kept some version of lists like this.

The first list is the MLB Network "shredder" projection for the ten best relief pitchers for the 2017 season, the second is the Bill James list.  Finally, me - and I take the list out to 15. I'm going to do two passes at this, one now, the second just before the start of the season. Number is my WAR projection, largely just included for my purposes.

Super Bowl 51 Prediction

Wednesday, February 1, 2017

I dislike the Patriots for the same reason everyone dislikes the Patriots, plus I'm in the Joe Montana legacy protection business and don't like the idea of the plurality opinion as to the greatest QB ever shifting the Brady.

And this year, they've added the Trump thing.

Also, I generally pick underdogs and generally pick against the public.

I'm taking New England, just like everyone else, and giving the 3.

New England's had a historically great ATS season, the books have taken it on the chin, in the conference championships I won with both favorites giving every point they wanted me to give and glad to do it.

I'm taking New England -3.

Go Falcons.
