Last day of the regular season, we lost two straight coming in to San Diego, the Padres now only a game out – a loss forces a tiebreaker; we're up 2-0 in the 6th, Jonathan Sanchez put the first two guys on and was replaced by Santiago Casilla – he got former Giants catcher Yorvit Torrealba to ground into a DP.  We got out unscathed and won 3-0 to win the west.

World Series Game 3 – up 2-0 and up 2 games to 0, bases loaded, Ryan Vogelsong gets Miguel Cabrera to pop up to end the 5th.  That was the final score, only the third time Detroit was shut out all season, we were a game away from sweeping the Tigers.

World Series Game 2 – we won the first game; scoreless here in the 7th, Madison Bumgarner gets Prince Fielder to ground into a 1-6-3 DP, we beat Detroit 2-0.

The next two Reds reached, meaning the tying run came to the plate in the person of Ryan Hanigan – Cain struck him out and Buster Posey threw out Jay Bruce trying to steal third for a double play.  We’d go onto win 6-4 to complete our comeback (the Giants were the first team in division series to win the final 3 games after dropping the first two) to beat the Reds and advance to the NLCS.
