2nd best defense in football with 4 All Pros - 27 year old Patrick Willis, 24 year old NaVorro Bowman, 23 year old Aldon Smith and 28 year old Dashon Goldson.  Smith had 19.5 sacks. Andy Lee was also the All Pro punter in the NFL in '12. 25 year old Colin Kaepernick took over the QB job midseason from Alex Smith; who knows - we may see both of them at some point. 29 year old Frank Gore rushed for 1200 yds.  The Niners lone offensive All Pro is 25 year old Mike Iupati. The third receiver on this club is 35 year old Randy Moss.  129 yards on the ground for Gore in the rnd 1 win over the '50 Eagles.

The Niners lost to the Ravens in the SB - here, they look for redemption. Jackson v. Kaepernick. Harbaugh v Harbaugh.  Greg Roman v. Greg Roman.   Baltimore's a 3 point favorite, lets head out there for the kick.

1st Qtr
Ravens at the 10.

1/10 - Mark Ingram 2 yards, a false start then makes it 2nd and 13.
2/13 - Lamar Jackson planned 1 yard run
3/12 - Jackson to Mark Andrews - 17 yards and a first down.
1/10 - Jackson runing it, 7 yards.
2/3 - Jackson to Willie Snead - 11 yards and a first down at the 43.
1/10 - Jackson running again, a 17 yard gain -- the Ravens at the Niners 40.

The drive ends here - Ted Ginn takes the punt back to the Niner 46, good field position for San Francisco.

1/10 - Colin Kaepernick looking to go over the top on the first play - He's Got Michael Crabtree --- 46 yards from Kaepernick to Crabtree - the Niners have a first and goal at the 9 yard line!
1/goal - Kapernick to Vernon Davis -- 3 yards and quickly brought down
2/goal - Frank Gore...Gore...Gore fighting his way into the end zone -- TOUCHDOWN NINERS -- Frank Gore 6 yard scoring run, Niners quickly up 7-0.

Ravens at the 35.

1/10 - Ingram for 3
2/7 - 3 more for Ingram
3/4 - Ingram goes for 11, first down across midfield.

But that ends the drive - Aldon Smith had 19.5 sacks and he gets one here and the Ravens punt.

Niners at the 14.

1/10 - Kaepernick to Davis, 19 yard catch and run for the first down.

That ends the drive - after the punt, it's Baltimore at the 25.

3 and out. Niners at the 36.  Gore gets 8 yards and the quarter ends.

2nd Qtr: 49ers 7 Ravens 0
Lot of similar DNA with these two sides, not quite the Spidemen meme but you can see it from here.  The big Kaepenick-Crabtree play the difference.

2nd and 2 at their own 38.

2/2 - Matt Judon snuffs out an attempted Kaepernick run.
3/6 - Gore is stopped short, but an incidental facemask gives the Niners a first down and then an offsides makes it first down at the Raven 40.
1/10 - Kaepernick to Gore, 7 yards.
2/3 - Gore picks it up.
1/10 - LaMichael James with a carry, 4 yards.
2/6 - Kaepernick to Mario Manningham, 8 yards to the 18.

The drive ends - but a David Akers kick makes it 10-0.

Ravens at the 38.  3 and out.

Niners at the 32.  3 and out.

Ravens at the 21.  3 and out.  2 minute warning.

Niners at the 39.

1/10 - Kaepernick finds Crabtree again down the field -- it's 41 yards - the Niners are at the 20 yard line!
1/10 - Kaepernick to Bruce Miller, 11 yards and the Niners have a first and goal.
1/goal - Incomplete
2/goal - Kaepernick to Manningham, he's stopped at the 2.
3/goal - Kaepernick tries a run -- he is stopped right at the goal line.

4th and goal, maybe a foot and a half - end of the first half, Niners up 10.

Harbaugh's gonna go for it.

Big spot here, Niners looking to go up 17-0.

4/goal - Kaepernick - plunge --- HE IS STOPPED COLD BY THE RAVENS -- huge, huge play to end the first half - Kaepernick does not get into the end zone and we go to the third quarter, still 10-0.

3rd Qtr: 49ers 10 Ravens 0
Baltimore hadn't had much offense today, but a huge goal line stand to end the half perhaps swings some momentum.  They're the second seed in the region; the top seed fell in their regional semi-final - winner of this one to face the '67 Raiders in the other regional semi.

Niners at the 25.

3 and out - an Earl Thomas safety blitz with a sack.  Ravens at their own 45.

3 and out - the 49er defense has been the story so far.

Niners at the 19.  3 and out.  Jaylon Ferguson with the sack - and Kaepernick is being tended to on the sideline.

Ravens at the 32.  3 and out.  Halfway through the third.  10-0.

Alex Smith comes on for the injured Kapernick, Niners up 10.  Niners at the 34.

1/10 - Smith 6 yards to Crabtree.
2/4 - Frank Gore 16 yards across midfield to the 44.

The drive ends with the 4th Ravens sack, Matt Judon getting his second.

Great Andy Lee punt - rolls dead at the 4 yard line.

3 and out.  The 49er defense is dominating today.  Baltimore cannot move the ball.

Niners great field position after the punt, at their own 49.  Alex Smith still on.

1/10 - 4 for Gore
2/6 - Incomplete
3/6 - Smith picks it up - hits Crabtree for 12 to the 35.
1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Gore...Gore through the line, Gore cuts to the outside -- FRANK GORE IS GONNA GO!   FRANK GORE IS INTO THE END ZONE---  TOUCHDOWN 49ERS - Frank Gore 35 yard TD run -- with just a couple minutes left in the third quarter the San Francisco 49ers lead is now 17-0!!

Ravens at the 29.

3 and out.  The last play of the quarter is a punt - the Niners defense has been smothering, stifling - the top offense in 2019 unable to move the ball.

4th Qtr: 49ers 17 Ravens 0
Alex Smith comes on for an injuried Colin Kaepernick and extends the lead; the 49er defense continues to shut out the Ravens and are now 15 minutes away from reaching the Region 1 second semi-final.

Niners at the 39 - on the second play, Earl Thomas PICKS OFF - Alex Smith - Ravens at the their own 46.  They need to get it going.

1/10 - 6 for Ingram
2/4 - Incomplete
3/4 - Gus Edwards picks up the first down.

But it stops here - Patrick Willis gets a sack - it's 4th and forever and the Ravens kick it back - Niners have the ball at their own 16

3 and out.  Ravens ball with 9 minutes left at their own 34.

1/10 - Jackson to Hollywood Brown, his first catch, 9 yards.
2/1 - Incomplete
3/1 - Jackson is sacked by Justin Smith.
3/15 - Jackson finds Hayden Hurst - Hurst makes his way for a first round - Ravens at the Niner 40.
1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Incomplete
3/10 - Incomplete
4/10 - Incomplete

And that will be that - the 49ers take over with 6 and a half minutes left, 17-0.  Niners at their own 40.

1/10 - Gore 15 yard gain
1/10 - 5 for Gore
2/5 - LaMichael James for 6, Niners have a first down at the 34.

They run it 3 more times, burning all the Ravens timeouts - David Akers kicks the FG, there's 4 minutes left in the game and it is 20-0.  There's only been one shutout in the tournament - it was another Ravens team who got shutout.

Baltimore starts at the 9, they get a couple first downs - but NaVorro Bowman finishes Jackson off with a sack - the 49ers can run the rest of the clock and it is over.

Final: 49ers 20 Ravens 0
Just 8 first downs for the Ravens - they get throttled by the 2nd best defense from 2012 - the Niners reach the Rnd of 64 and head to Oakland for the All Bay Area Battle.

Kaepernick: 9 for 14, 140 yds
Jackson: 12 for 30, 107 yds

Gore: 15 carries, 99 yds, 2TD
Ingram: 15 carries, 29 yds

Crabtree: 5 catches 106 yds
Andrews: 3 catches, 36 yds

Player of the Game: Patrick Willis
