10. The Morning Show (Apple+)
The 4th quarter of the year can be a catch up period, which is why The Morning Show is here (it's a bit of a mess, but I really enjoyed watching it). Letterman's Netflix show and a Showtime documentary of which he was a part are next on the list. The John Wilson show is a good companion piece for (the superior) Nathan For You. The Reagans got Reagan right (if insufficiently appreciates his damage). Full disclosure, I'm still working through I May Destroy You; if it's a month from now I may edit the Best Shows of the Year final list to reflect that. Industry is in a similar position, but I'm further along. The current seasons of PEN and Fargo give what you'd expect, PEN was similarly strong in season one and Fargo, as a franchise, has been around the top of the list twice before. Ted Lasso was a really good hearted show in a way that filled a need in 2020.
