-Ott's replaced at midseason, sort of amazingly, by Dodgers manager Durocher, who had been suspended for the entire season previous for associating with gamblers.  46 years before, McGraw joined the club at midseason, since then the only Giants managers were franchise greats Terry and Ott.  Now a notorious Dodger, Durocher.
