#33 is here.

#32 October 11, 1981 The Dynasty Begins

The birth of the 49er dynasty?  How about this 45-14 win over the Cowboys?

The year prior, Dallas hung 59 on San Francisco; the last time the 49ers had played meaningful football games, almost a decade prior, their seasons ended in losses to the Cowboys.

It really changed here, not with the Catch, but in this regular season win over Dallas, Fred Dean's first game as a 49er. Joe Montana threw scores to both Dwight Clark and Freddie Solomon; Ronnie Lott took a pick back for a touchdown, the Niners held Danny White to 8 completions for 60 yards and San Francisco throttled America's Team.

#31 is tomorrow.
