No Okoye?
Nope, it's a your mileage may vary when considering Okoye, Allen, Kimble Anders - Allen/Okoye pretty similar both game for game and aggregate value - I'll take the Hall of Famer.
Solid choices... My only certain change would be Fred Arbanas over Walter White as the back-up TE. Other than that, I may have chosen Stephone Paige or Chris Burford over Eddie Kennison for the final WR spot. Burford never had a 1,000-yard season, but he had way more TDs for the Chiefs than Kennison (55 to 25).
The Chiefs had have tons of solid DBs in their history, but I think you chose the best of the bunch.. nice work!!
Agree on both changes.
Besides OL and DB, the Chiefs have been pretty stacked at LB over the years... you would think that E.J. Holub and tackling machine Gary Spani would be good enough, but that's a solid group to crack. Out of curiousity, how far is Tamba Hali from making the all-time squad?
The Chiefs have had enough DBs to fill two all-time squads -- Gary Green, Jim Kearney, Bobby Hunt and Lloyd Burrus were all decent players, but not quite on the level of those listed....
It would be nice to see Abner Haynes, one of the great all-purpose players in team history, on this squad over that punk Larry Johnson, but Johnson was the more productive runner... oh well.
