Baltimore on Baltimore violence -- we move 60 years in the future from those World Champion Colts to find the 2020 Ravens with the 2nd best defense in football.  34 year old Calais Campbell and 28 year old Matt Judon combined for 10 sacks.  On offense, Lamar Jackson is 23, 33 scores and 9 picks and he'll give the Colts a look they've never faced before.  The Baltimore Ravens travel very far back in time but not very far back in space to meet the Baltimore Colts.   Let's go to....Baltimore...for the kick.

1st Qtr
Colts to start at the 34.

3 and out.  Ravens at the 30.

3 and out.  Colts at the 24.

1/10 - Alan Ameche busts one -- 53 yards - roaring down the field to the 23.
1/10 - LG Dupre gets 18 and the Colts have a first and goal.
1/goal - Lenny Moore sweeps around left tackle - Jim Parker seals the edge -- Moore rolls into the endzone. TOUCHDOWN COLTS - 3 plays and the Colts are into the endzone.

Ravens at the 31.

3 and out.  Colts start at the 35.

They get a first down, Ameche with a 15 yard gain - but that's all and after the punt the Ravens start at the 14.

3 and out, great start for this Colt defense against an offense 60 years ahead of them.

Colts in good field position at their own 47.

1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Johnny Unitas completes the first pass of the game, a 6 yarder to Lenny Moore.
3/4 - Another big gain for Alan Ameche - 18 yards and the Colts are at the Raven 29 yard line.

Nothing the next two plays and as the qtr ends it's 3rd and 10.

2nd Qtr: Colts 7 Ravens 0
The Ravens without a first down, Colts up a touchdown and have 3rd and 10 at the Ravens 29.

They don't pick it up -- and Myhra misses the FG - Rav6ens will take over at their own 32.

1/10 - Nothing for Mark Ingram
2/10- Nothing for Patrick Ricard
3/10 - Lamar Jackson's first completion goes to Miles Boykin, 14 yards and the first down.
1/10 - JK Dobbins gets 1.
2/9 - Dobbins gets 1.
3/8 - Jackson again - finds Hollywood Brown for the 18 yard pickup, Ravens now at the Colt 35.
1/10 - 2 for Dobbins.
2/8 - 3 for Ingram.
3/5 - Jackson picks it up again, 8 to Brown -- Ravens at the 22.  Nice series of third down conversions for Jackson.

The drive stalls here - Justin Tucker is the Ravens only All Pro and he puts them on the board with 4 minutes left in the half.  Colts to open at the 31.

1/10 - Unitas - leveled on a safety blitz by DeShon Elliott.
2/15 - Unitas - Ravens bring the house - Unitas escapes -- and Unitas has real estate -- it's a big gain, a 20 yard gain for Unitas -- and tack on 15 more for a late hit on the tackle -- that's a 35 yard play and the Colts are at the Ravens 39.
1/10 - 1 for Lenny Moore, 2 minute warning.
2/9 - Unitas quick out to Ray Berry, just 2 yards and a false start on the next play makes it 3rd and 12.
3/12 - Unitas -- throws a great ball into the teeth of the defense, threads one to Jim Mutscheller, Colts with a first down at the 21.
1/10 - Unitas - over the middle --- Mutscheller has it - he breaks a tackle - Mutscheller will go into the endzone -- TOUCHDOWN COLTS - 21 yard pass from Unitas to Mutscheller and the Colts have gone 69 yards to take the 14-3 lead.

Ravens with just 90 seconds left.  Start at the 27.

1/10 - Jackson, has to run - gets out of bounds after 5.
2/5 - Jackson - Mark Andrews over the middle for 13 yards - Ravens with their first timeout, 1:14 left, Ravens at their own 45.
1/10 - Jackson...can't find anyone open - dumps to Andrews, out of bounds after 3.
2/7 - Incomplete.
3/7 - Jackson over the middle to Ricard - Ricard bowls his way to a 9 yard gain - Ravens stop the clock at 42 seconds left, Ravens at the Colt 43.
1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Jackson - flips to Ingram out of the backfield - he's got 7 yards, gets out of bounds at the 36.  24 seconds left.
3/3 - Give -- Dobbins -- Dobbins has the first down --- And Dobbins is Gonna Go -- Dobbins Breaks it -- JK Dobbins is gonna go all 32 yards all the way into the endzone - TOUCHDOWN RAVENS - 32 yard run for Dobbins just before the half - the Colts are gonna be content to run a play into the line - and at the half it's now 14-10.

3rd Qtr: Colts 14 Ravens 10
Couple late scores, the Unitas drive and then a gutsy run call on a third down from Harbaugh, we've got a good one in this generational battle of Baltimore.

Ravens at the 35.

1/10 - Lamar Jackson comes out throwing - 8 yards to Mark Andrews.
2/2 - Nothing for Ricard.
3/2 - RPO - Jackson keeps it himself and picks up the first down, Ravens at their own 47.
1/10 - Jackson - Andrew--No - Picked Off by Ray Brown -- Brown steps in front of Andrews, picks off Jackson -- Brown is down at the Ravens 45 -- big early turnover here in the second half for the Colts.

1/10 - Ameche gets 1.
2/9 - Ameche again, he gets 9 and it's a first down at the 35.
1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Calais Campbell with the first sack of the game - he rips Unitas to the turf.
3/14 - Unitas - Ray Berry -- Berry works his way to the sticks -- nice run by Berry and the Colts have the first down at the 22 yard line.
1/10 - Ameche -- Ameche running behind Parker - he clears the way -- Ameche is gonna go - Alan Ameche is gonna go -- TOUCHDOWN COLTS - 22 yard TD run for Ameche and the Colts take the 21-10 lead.

Ravens at the 22.

They get 2 first downs - Jackson 16 to Snead the biggest play - but after a Gino Marchetti sack the drive ends on the Ravens side of the field, Colts will take over at their own 20 after the punt.

1/10 - Dupre gets nothing.
2/10 - Ameche gets nothing.
3/10 - Lenny Moore picks it up - a 14 yard gain -- Colts up double digits as we near the end of the third qtr, Colts are looking to wrap this up.
1/10 - Ameche gets 3.
2/7 - Incomplete
3/7 - Unitas hits Lenny Moore in space - he has a step and he roars forward for a 25 yard gain, the Colts are at the Ravens 38 yard line as the qtr ends.

4th Qtr: Colts 21 Ravens 10
Colts really rolling now, 11 point lead with a first down in Ravens territory.

On the first play of the quarter - Chuck Clark intercepts Unitas -- Ravens take over at their own 42 - big play by the Ravens defense to keep them in the game.

3 and out - the Colts defense doesn't give any ground, Art Donovan with the second Colt sack of the day.  There's another punt and the Colts start at their own 27, now 12 minutes left in the game.

Colts stay on the ground, using clock, they get a first down on a Dupre 9 yard run - after the punt, Ravens take over at their own 21, now just 8 minutes to play.

1/10 - Ricard gets 12.
1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Give to Ingram, nothing.
3/10 - Incomplete.  Ravens have a 4th and 10, they have to go for it.
4/10 - Jackson....in trouble...Jackson keeps it alive -- goes to Dobbins who is able to break loose, he has the first down out to the Raven 45 yard line.  5 and a half minutes left in the game, it's 21-10 Colts.  Ravens alive, but barely.
1/10 - Dobbins busts a 14 yarder - he's out of bounds at the Colts 41.
1/10 - Jackson's sacked - Big Daddy Lipscomb with the third Colts sack of the day, Ravens stop the clock.
2/14 - Jackson's sacked again - Lipscomb gets him again - that's 4 Colts sacks -- the Colts side of the crowd roaring now - Ravens again stop the clock and it's third and 18.
3/18 - Jackson is running for his life -- the Colts defensive line now totally taking over -- Jackson keeps it alive - finds Ricard, Ricard's got 8 yards, he's out of bounds at the Colts 41 and it's another 4th and 10, just 4 and a half minutes left in the game.
4/10 - Jackson - Brown -- right at the sticks -- 10 yards - a first down to the Ravens 31 yard line, big play there.

That's as far as the drive goes - Tucker has to kick the FG -- that cuts the deficit to 21-13, so within a score and a 2 pt conversion, Colts will get the ball back at their own 14 yard line with under 4 minutes left in the game.  Ravens only have 1 time out - so they need a stop.

They don't get it - the Ravens never get the ball back - Colts only need to throw one pass, a big 3rd and 9 completion from Unitas to Dupre - otherwise they stay on the ground, pick up three first downs and kill the rest of the clock.

Final: Colts 21 Ravens 13
Good all around performance here, the '58 Colts controlled both lines of scrimmage and they will head to San Francisco in round 2 to face the '92 Niners.

Player of the Game: Alan Ameche

The Snake's 31, 28 scores and 12 picks. 24 year old Mark van Eegahan rushed for over a thousand yards in a 14 game season. 12 scores for 28 year old All Pro Cliff Branch, 10 for 24 year old All Pro Dave Casper. Some big names on that Oakland defense, despite its mediocre rank, 29 year old Ted Hendricks and 36 year old Willie Brown are both headed to the Hall of Fame.  Ray Guy is 27 and added an All Pro season.

The Titans can't love this draw, seeing a Super Bowl Champ on the other side of the field in the 4/13 matchup. The 2000 Titans have already moved on; this team makes the field on the backs of the 5th ranked offense. Steve McNair's 30, 28 scores and 7 picks. Eddie George is also 30 and rushed for over a thousand yards. Big year for 29 year old Derrick Mason, 95 catches for 1300 yards.  It's a middling defense, but it contains the only All Pro on the roster, 26 year old Keith Bulluck. 27 year old Jevon Kearse had 9.5 sacks.  The 2011 Patriots await, either they'll host the Titans or travel to Oakland - we're going to Oakland now for the kick.

Lot of bold there - that's because the '65 AFL Champion Bills all played in the All Star Game, the Bills lost to the AFL All Stars in the All Star game.  There isn't a Bills team that has advanced; this '65 team had the best defense in the AFL with 4 All Pros - 29 year old Tom Stesak, 24 year old Mike Stratton, 24 year old Butch Byrd, 24 year old George Saimes.  The offense is okay, 14 scores for 30 year old All Pro Jack Kemp, the other All Pro on offense is 27 year old Billy Shaw.  Couple of northeast rivals hooking up here - the Bills, who, as of this game, have never won a SB head to NE to face the team which has dominated the 21st cenury. You know who is on this Bills team? A rookie linebacker from Pitt named Marty Schottenheimer.  Let's go to the kick.

1st Qtr
Bills open at the 33.

Patriots at the 22.

They get a first down - Brady to Green Ellis out of the backfield - he turns it into a 28 yard gain.  But - that's all -- and after the punt, Buffalo starts at the 19.

They get a first down, Kemp to Ed Rutkowski, 19 yards - but the drive ends with an Andre Carter sack.  Patriots start at the 27.

1/10 - Brady goes 11 to Deion Branch.
1/10 - Give to BGE, he gets 9, that's the last play of the quarter.

1/goal - Incomplete
2/goal - Incomplete
3/goal - Give to BGE -- and he's into the endzone -- TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS - Green Ellis with a couple of big gainers out of the backfield to lead the drive and he punches it home to tie the game.

Bills at the 21.

3/9 - Kemp - hits Carlton - 15 yards and the Bills near midfield with a first down.
1/10 - Carlton loses a couple yards.
2/12 - Kemp - Joe -- Joe's gonna be just short of the sticks at the Patriot 42.
3/1 - Carlton picks it up - again, chains keep moving.
1/10 - Give to Joe - Joe's got a hole - Joe's got 19 to the 22.
1/10 - Smith loses 3.
2/13 - Donnie Stone gets back to the original line of scrimmage.
3/10 - Kemp to Carlton -- he's right at the sticks, it's gonna be 4th and inches at the 13..Lou Saban keeps the offense on the field, they're gonna go for it.
4/1 - Kemp - play action - short over the middle to Carlton and he's got 3 yards and it's a first and goal at the 10.
1/goal - Give to Carlton -- Carlton -- Carlton rolls his way into the endzone == TOUCHDOWN BILLS - 79 yard 8 minute Buffalo drive culminates in the 10 yard Wray Carlton score - Buffalo with the 14-7 lead with 4 minutes left in the half.

The drive dies here - Gostkowski with a FG with 1:13 left.  14-10 Bills.

Bills at the 34.

1/10 - Kemp, in trouble - Kemp runs out of bounds.

1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Kemp to Charley Ferguson, 7 yards, Bills stop the clock again.
3/3 - Kemp - over the middle -- Costa -- a dozen yards - Bills are at the New England 35, 33 seconds left, Kemp spikes the ball on first down to stop the clock.

The drive will end here - at the whistle - Gogolak FG makes it 17-10 at the half.

3rd Qtr: Bills 17 Patriots 10
Buffalo's offense was 3rd best out of 8 teams in '65 - but they are doing a great job today against a mediocre NE defense, it is 17-10 Bills.  Patriots to start at the 18.

3 and out.  And Butch Byrd with the big return -all the way to the NE 34, Bills up a touchdown and now with great field position.

They get one first down - Carlton with a 13 yard run - but a Vince Wilfork sack means the Bills have a 43 yard FG attempt.....which Gogolak....misses....

The Patriots turn Buffalo back - they take over at their own 33 midway through the third.

1/10 - Stevan Ridley's first carry, 6 yards.
2/4 - Brady to Gronk - his first catch, neither of the Patriot TE have been involved at all today, he's got a dozen.
1/10 - Woodhead gets 1
2/9 - Brady - Welker -- Brady hits Welker for 23, that's a good shot - Pats all the way to the Bills 25.

But that's it - a Tom Stesak sack ends the drive -- Gostkowski has a long FG attempt....and he misses it...the sides swapping missed FGs. Bills will open at the 39.

3 and out.  Patriots start at the 36.

1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - BGE is stacked up.
3/10 - Brady picks it up - 18 to Welker, down a score near the end of the qtr, that could be a big pick up for Brady.

1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - George Saimes comes through on a safety blitz and absolutely levels Brady - just drops him - that's the end of the quarter.

4th Qtr: Bills 17 Patriots 10
Scoreless quarter, both teams missing FGs - the Patriots are still down a score but it's now third and 17 at the 20.

3/17 - Brady.  Welker.  Welker makes his way for a 15 yard gain -- Welker all the way to the 5 - it's gonna be 4th and 2 for the Patriots at the Bills 5 yard line, Pats down by 7.  So - here's a big spot.

Belichick's gonna go for it.  Well, here we go.  4th and 2 at the 5.

4/2 - BGE picks it up - 2 yards, there's a measurement - the Pats just do get the first down - big time spot there and it is first and goal.
1/goal - Brady - fade pattern - Branch.  TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS - The Pats had a 3rd and 17, then a 4th and 2 - and now the game is all tied up at 17.

Bills to start at the 23 with less than 13 minutes to play in the ballgame.

They get one first down, 10 yard Stone run.  But that's it - and when Julian Edelman gets a nice return, the Patriots will start at their own 43, less than 10 minutes left.

They get one first down - 15 yards Brady to Gronk.  Belichick decides to pass up a long Gostkowski FG - instead there's a short punt -- Bills take over at their own 18 with 7 minutes to go.

3 and out - including Rob Ninkovich sacking Kemp - that's a great defensive series - Bills punt deep in their own end, Pats will open at the Buffalo 49 yard line, little over 5 minutes left in the game.  17-17.

1/10 - BGE gets 4.
2/6 - Brady picks it up - 8 yards to Woodhead, Pats at the 37.
1/10 - Brady to Chad Johnson - 11 yards and the Patriots are now in FG range, clock ticking, little over 3 minutes left.
1/10 - BGE gets 3 yards.
2/7 - Incomplete.  Okay - two and a half minutes left in the football game, 17 all, Patriots have a third and 7 at the Bill 23.  Big play.
3/7 - Brady - Welker -- 13 yard gain - just a huge, huge clutch play, it's the 2 minute warning and NE has a first and goal.
1/goal - Brady.  Endzone.  Welker.  TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS - 10 yard Brady to Welker, New England takes the lead at a little less than 2 minutes to go - 7 point Patriot lead.

Bills at the 19.

1/10 - Kemp short to Carlton, 4 yards, out of bounds.
2/6 - Incomplete.
3/6 - Incomplete.

Well, this is it.  4th and 6 - Bills still need to go 77 yards to tie this up.

4/6 - Kemp picks it up - he hits Bobby Smith for an 8 yard gain to the 31, Bills use their first timeout at 1:20 left.
1/10 - Kemp finds Paul Costa - 16 yards, out of bounds - Bills at the 47 with 1:08 to go in the game.
1/10 - Kemp in trouble - has to run out of bounds for a 3 yard loss, 58 seconds left, Bills at their own 44 down 7.
2/13 - Incomplete
3/13 - Kemp's gotta dump it off to Joe, he gets 5 yards and is out of bounds at the 49, Bills have another 4th down -- it's 4th and 8, 44 seconds to go.
4/8 - Kemp - Kemp - over the middle -- Bo Roberson comes down with it -- Roberson is all the way at the 31 yard line!  Huge, huge 20 yard gain for Kemp on 4th down, his second 4th down conversion on the drive and now with 31 seconds left, the Bills stop the clock, they still have a timeout left.
1/10 - Incomplete
2/10 - Kemp has to dump it off again, Joe is out of bounds with a 4 yard gain to the 27 with only 16 seconds to go.
3/6 - Kemp.  Over the Middle -- knocked down by Patrick Chung -- there's just 9 seconds left.

4th down.  Bills at the 27.  9 seconds to go in the game.  Bills down by a score.

4/6 - Kemp.  He's gotta get it now.  Kemp.  Endzone -- and the pass sails incomplete --

---and that's it - one Brady kneeldown and the game is over.
