The third overall seed is the '96 Packers; number one in both offense and defense, rolled through the postseason to win the Super Bowl - every SB Champion in the field so far has advanced, as have the other number one regional seeds.  Brett Favre is 27, All Pro, 41 total TDs and 13 picks. The All Pro on defense is 28 year old LeRoy Butler, 5 picks and 6.5 sacks.  35 year old Reggie White added 8.5 sacks.  The Pack went unbeaten at home and will return remain at home throughout region 3.  Not only number one in offense and defense, also number one in special teams.  In rnd 1, they picked off 2003 Peyton Manning 3 times in a rout.  Desmond Howard took a kick back in the round 2 win over the '87 Browns, the Pack head to the Regional Semi 18-3.

Here's the 4th seed in the region, the Super Bowl Champs from 1999, the Rams. 1st in offense, 4th in defense. Kurt Warner's 28, 42 total TDs and 13 picks.  He's an All Pro as is 26 year old Marshall Faulk with nearly 2500 combined yards of offense.  Isaac Bruce is 27 with a dozen scores. and the LT, 24 yar old Orlando Pace, gives this Rams offense 3 First Team All Pros,  On defense, there's one, 26 year old Kevin Carter with his 17 sacks.  The Rams roasted the '67 Chiefs in rnd 1, outgaining them by 250 yds.  Just 4 incompletions for Warner in the round 2 win over the '19 Saints.  The Rams head to the regional semi 18-3. 

The Packers are 8.5 point favorites in this one; battle of two 18-3 Super Bowl Champs in the first region 3 semi.  Let's head to Lambeau for the kick.

Rams win the toss, we got a real weather game here today, flurries, wind gusts, painfully cold - Rams at the 38.

4/6 - Favre....Favre going downfield --- Favre FINDS ANTONIO FREEMAN!  ANTONIO FREEMAN FIRST DOWN, 23 YARD PICKUP!  That takes us to the 2 minute warning, GB at the StL 29 yard line!!  Favre to Freeman on 4th and 6!  Huge play for the Pack.

But -- the drive stalls here - including Kevin Carter's second sack in the biggest play of the game- it's 4th and 15, Chris Jacke comes out for a 51 yard FG attempt to give GB the lead.  

This is it - 1:14 left in the football game.  Packers down 2.  Really tough conditions for Jacke.  He had 5 FGs, tying a tournament high.  One more - and GB takes the lead.
