It's 25 year old Kawhi's Spurs; he's a top 5 player in the league, 36 year old Gasol also is 20+ PER, Kawhi finished 3rd in the MVP voting.  We just saw the '04 Spurs lose the Region 1 Final; 13 years later here's the '17 club, the only holdovers are Parker and Ginobli. Kawhi was All Defense first team, Danny Green made the second team. Kawhi was an All Star.  Kawhi needs 1 PotG in this series to supplant '04 Duncan on the All Tournament 1st team.

90s battle here; the Cavs had the second best offense in '92 taking on that Knicks defense. 26 year old Daugherty, 27 year old Price, 32 year old Nance all over 20 PER, Daugherty and Nance with double digit WS. Last chance for the Cavs and the last chance for the 1990s, who have just 1 Regional Title. Nance was 2nd team all defense. Daugherty and Price were both All Stars.  The Cavs knocked off 2020 Kawhi in the Regional Final and look to take out the '17 version here.
