30 year old Magic leads the best offense in the NBA in 1990, the Lakers; top 5 in PER, Win Shares, Win Shares/48 and VORP.  He won the MVP. 20 year old Worthy also has double digit WS. Vlade's 21 and was on the All Rookie Team. Magic, 26 year old Green, 28 year old Worthy were all All Stars. Magic was All Star MVP.  It's Pat Riley's final Laker campaign and he won the Coach of the Year Award.  They've gone to the showdown in every series.

Houston's the 14th seed in the region, 25 year old James Harden leads the way - 1st in both Win Shares and VORP, 4th in PER, he made the All Star team; of course we just saw his 4 year younger self win region 11 with the Thunder.  McHale's Celtics did not win a Regional title, but he has a chance to keep the Lakers from their third.

Houston had a 26 pt lead after 3 and withstood a furious Laker rally.  Magic was PotG in the loss.

The Rockets led most of the way - LA cut it to 3 with a minute left, but Harden hit a dagger 3 at 36 seconds to seal it.  He wins MVP and Houston wins Region 12 as a 14th seed.  Triple-double for Magic in the loss.
