-Mort Cooper's 1.78 ERA paces the Cards as they match up with a 95 win A's squad that didn't make the postseason.

61. 1921 World Champion New York Giants
v.
68. 1931 New York Yankees

-Casey Stengel's on this Giants club that beat the Yankees in the Series; and with all those World Series titles you'd think there wasn't room in this field for a Yankee team that didn't win the title - but this Ruth/Gehrig group didn't make the postseason.

100. 1922 World Champion New York Giants

-Cleveland won 111 games but then got swept in the Series by the Giants; despite a half dozen Hall of Famers, this Giants squad will be the underdogs again in this one.
