The greatest team in 49er history is the top seed in Region 10, the '84 Niners were second in offense/first in defense. 28 year old Dwaine Board had 10 sacks, 25 year old Ronnie Lott/26 year old Keena Turner combined for 8 picks.  Joe Montana is 28, 30 scores and 10 picks. Wendell Tyler is 29 and had 1500 yards from scrimmage. 11 TDs for 31 year old Freddie Solomon. And 32 year old Keith Fahnhorst was the only 1st Team All Pro on the squad. Sitting at the bottom of Region 10, the second seed in the region, is the 1979 Steelers - and if seeding holds, we will eventually see a battle of these two Super Bowl Champions for the Region 10 title and a spot in the sweet 16.  The '12 Niners, '96 Niners, '93 Niners, '92 Niners have already advanced, this team looks to join them.
