Will the Dallas Cowboys be the first organization to place its 9th team in round 2? Top offense in football.  Danny White's 28, 29 scores, 25 picks. 26 year old Tony Dorsett rushed for nearly 1200 yards and had 11 scores. 24 year old Tony Hill had over a thousand yards receiving. Herbert Scott was a 27 year old All Pro.  32 year old Charlie Waters and 24 year old Dennis Thurman combined for 10 picks. It's our second Pack/Cowboys matchup in the region - lets head to Wisconsin for the kick.

1st Qtr
Dallas starts at the 31.

1/10 - Danny White's first pass is Picked Off by Ray Nitschke - one play and Nitschke intercepts White, Packers take over at the 32.

They're unable to move the ball - and when Jerry Kramer misses a FG, Dallas gets the ball back at their own 38 none the worse for wear.

Dallas gets a first down, White 13 yards to Tony Hill - but that's as far as it goes, Packers take over at the 35 after the punt.

2 first downs - Bart Starr to Ron Kramer, 9 yards and a 26 yard Jim Taylor run, but Jerry Kramer...misses his second FG of the day and with 6 minutes left in the qtr, Dallas gets the ball back at the 24.

1/10 - A yard for Tony Dorsett.
2/9 - Another yard.
3/8 - White throws to Dorsett, 13 yards to the 39.
1/10 - Robert Newhouse gets a yard.
2/9 - Incomplete
3/9 - White to Billy Joe DuPree - 20 yards and Dallas is at the Packer 40.
1/10 - Dorsett picks up 17 yards to the 23.
1/10 - Newhouse is stopped at the line
2/10 - Dorsett's stopped at the line and that's the last play of the qtr.

2nd Qtr: Packers 0 Cowboys 0
2 missed Packer FGs is the story here; Dallas 3rd and 10 at the GB 23.

White's buried by a Willie Davis sack, just buried - and then Rafael Septien misses a FG and the Packers take over at the 38.

1/10 - Jim Taylor for 4
2/6 - Taylor stuffed at the line
1/10 - Starr to Ron Kramer, its a 22 yard bingo - Pack at the Dallas 36.
1/10 - Lew Carpenter gets a carry, 7 yards
2/3 - Here's a carry for Tom Moore, 11 yards to the 18.
1/10 - Moore again, running through a big hole on the right side -- and he's gonna go Into the End Zone -- TOUCHDOWN PACKERS- Tom Moore with the 18 yard TD run and the Pack take the lead.

Dallas at the 24.

They get a first down on a Newhouse 10 yard gain, but the drive ends in a kick.

Pack at the 29 - they get a first down, Starr 14 to Max McGee - but the drive ends with a Dennis Thurman Pick of Bart Starr and a tick before the 2 minute warning, Dallas has the ball at their own 42.

3 and out.'

Packers at the 20.

They take the rest of the half, getting first downs on Starr 13 to Dowler and 7 to Kramer, but are unable to advance beyond midfield as the half ends.

3rd Qtr: Packers 7 Cowboys 0
The clubs trade INTs, the only score the Tom Moore TD run.

Pack will open the half at the 25.

One first down on a couple of Taylor runs, Dallas starts after the punt at the 19.

3 and out

Pack at the 33.  3 and out.

Dallas at the 28.

1/10 - 2 for Dorsett, an offsides gives Dallas 5 more.
2/3 - Incomplete
3/3 - White pulls it down and picks it up.
1/10 - 7 for Dorsett
2/3 - Newhouse loses a yard
3/4 - White to Drew Pearson, 12 yards to the Pavker 43.
1/10 - 2 for Dorsett
2/8-  5 for Dorsett
3/3 - White -- again trouble, he is going to be short of the first down - Landry doesn't hesitate, he's gonna go for it.

Big spot here, 4th and a long 1 at the Packer 34, about 45 seconds left in the third, Pack up a touchdown.

4/1 - Newhouse with the big gainer, 16 yards to the Packer 19 yard line - that's the last play of the third.

4th Qtr: Packers 7 Cowboys 0
Dallas has their best chance of the game, first down at the Packer 19.

The drive ends here - they have to take the FG, it's 7-3.

Packers at the 12- they get a first down on a Jim Taylor 10 yard run, but that's it - the Cowboys now, start at their own 34, 10 minutes to go in the football game, down 7-3.

But -- they go 3 and out.

Packers regain at their own 38, 8 minutes left.

1/10 - Elijah Pitts getd a carry and goes for 7.
2/3 - 6 for Taylor
1/10 - 3 for Moore
2/7 - Starr - downfield -- Max McGee -- it's a 32 yard pickup -- all the way to the Dallas 14 yard line.
1/10 - Blitz - Starr runs -- Starr has a step -- Starr to the goal -- Starr takes a vicious shot -- but he falls Into The End Zone -- TOUCHDOWN PACKERS - a gutty 14 yard scramble to paydirt for Bart Starr and now it's 14...nope, 13-3, Packers miss the XP, but with less than 5 minutes to go it's a 10 point lead and that looks insurmountable.

Dallas starts at the 38.  4 plays lead to nothing - they turn the ball over on down - and two playts later Elijah Pitts has a 2 yard dive into the end zone -- TOUCHDOWN PACKERS - it's done, 20-3 with a little more than 3 to go.

Dalas starts at the 22 - they get a couple first downs on 17 yard receptions by Hill - but the drive ends with a Herb Adderley pick, Green Bay runs the rest of the clock out and it is done.

Final: Packers 20 Cowboys 3
