-Casey Stengel's on this Giants club that beat the Yankees in the Series; and with all those World Series titles you'd think there wasn't room in this field for a Yankee team that didn't win the title - but this Ruth/Gehrig group didn't make the postseason.

-25 year old Derek Jeter leads the last world champions of the 20th century against a Wild Card Oakland team that Jeter's 2001 Yankees knocked off in the ALDS.
