Candlestick legends leave. Mays, Marichal, Clark, Montana, Rice, Lott - all finished their careers in uniforms that did not say San Francisco.
One came back - after three years away, Willie McCovey returned to Candlestick as the Giants first baseman in this home opener loss to the Dodgers to maybe the longest sustained cheer in park history.
