For an 8 cat league.  I'm in two 12 team leagues, one 10 team.

1. K. Durant
2. LJames

-There is no argument for anyone else in the top 2; do what you need to do to get in the top 2 of your draft; I've had one of my 3 drafts - I picked 6th in a 12 team  6th is not the top 2.

3. DWade
4. KIrving

-That's my second tier. I got Irving 6th and thought I might be able to get Wade at #19.  I did not.

5. DHoward
6. CPaul
7. KBryant
8. KLove

-Third tier. I was also hoping for Howard or Love at #19, they were all gone.

9. RWestbrook
10. JSmith
11. JHarden
12. AIguodala
13. RGay
14. PPierce
15. MEllis

-Fourth tier.  I got 3 of them; Harden at 19; Gay at 30; Pierce at 43.

16. MGasol
17. ABynum
18. SCurry
19. PMillsap
20. PGeorge
21. AHorford
22. BJennings
23. GMonroe
24. BJennings
25. PGasol
26. CAnthony
27. ADavis
28. JLin
29. GWallace
30. MGinobli
31. BGriffin

-fifth tier.  I wanted a center at pick 54, having 2 guards and 2 forwards in the first four picks - I didn't get one, just missing on Gasol and Bynum.  So I went Millsap/Ginobli with my next two picks.

32. LAldridge
33. DLee
34. NBatum
35. JJohnson
36. KThompson
37. EGordon
38. JWall

41. CBosh
42. DGallinari
43. AKirilenko

46. MThornton
47. DNowitzki
48. BLopez
49. GHayward
50. TLawson
51. DGranger
52. TChandler

-sixth tier.  I had to get a center now, at 78, having 3 guard/3 forwards and seeing a dropoff after this tier, so I took both Lopez and Chandler; the Chandler pick was error, I could have grabbed an extra guy from this tier (I got Kirilenko at 102) and waited to get a second center (I wound up getting a third).

53. KLowry
54. TEvans
55. LDeng
56. KWalker
57. JTeague
58. KLeonard

66. AStoudemire
67. TDuncan
69. JR Smith
70. RRondo
71. DRose
72. DGreen
73. ABogut
74. ZRandolph
75. AVerejao
76. RStuckey
77. AAfflalo
78. RHibbert

-seventh tier; I wanted to finish my draft in this tier with my last four picks - I almost made it, Allen (115) Bogut (126) JR Smith (139) but then had to pick a forward with 150 and couldn't get one from here; I should have picked Rose at 115 as I wanted to make that investment but skipped him there and he was gone by 126.

79. EIlyasova
80. SIbaka
81. SMarion
82. MConley

I like how Japan baseball does their drafts. In the first round, everyone is equal, and all teams can choose whomever they like. In the event that more than one team chooses a player, there is a lottery among the teams to determine which team gets the rights to that player. So it's strategic design whether to go for a fourth or fifth ranked player that's almost a sure thing, or take your chances going for the first or second ranked guy, and risk being left to fight for the scraps later on.
